Using Avid DNX files in Final Cut Pro

If you get sent some Avid DNX files you can use them in FCP as long as you have the right drivers.

You can download the drivers free from Avid.

Install the package, but don't worry if you get a weird error message like this:

The codecs should work despite the error.

The files won't work directly with FCP, but you can now slap them into Compressor and convert to ProRes
